ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2019
United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In 2019, over 7,000 young leaders applied to join the Class of 2019 on 1,209 campuses across 135 nations. 69 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 1,092 Millennium Fellows. The Class of 2019 is bold, innovative, and inclusive. Millennium Fellows' Projects are projected to positively impact the lives of over 978,400 people worldwide this year.

Millennium Fellowship Project
The Jitoleze Mentorship program will be a program with the aim of developing leaders who challenge the status quo and inspire their communities to build a better future. Youths from a wide ray of life; graduates, students and out of school young people will be trained in attitude change. This will be one of its kind in Busia specifically, and Uganda at large. The Jitoleze mentorship program will be highly elite individuals with the ability to assess and prioritize challenges, making the best use of human, natural and financial resources to improve quality of life for their communities in an equitable and sustainable way. These will be trained by the best faculty in the land in aspects of self awareness, business simulations, practical organization management, ideology, creative thinking, innovation, design thinking and later have attachments to various life-changing organization to create impact in society.
About the Millennium Fellow
Clide Odhiambo is a community transformer, Human rights activist, a youth advocate and a 21st century skills champion. He has a certificate in Teacher education from Kyambogo University (UG), an online certificate course in advocacy from philanthropy university (California). An online diploma certification in Human Rights from African Youth Human Rights and Citizenship Development Initiative (Nigeria), Co-founder and Executive Director Jitoleze Foundation. President Young East African Leaders Initiative. A Mandela centennial scholar, a leadership graduate and a global challenges student with focus in governance and job creation at the African Leadership University (Rwanda).
Clide Odhiambo has love for a transformed community and has given it much of his time and pledges never to rest not until he sees this in his community.
