“I'm excited to be a Millennium Fellow because as a future engineer I will be part of a lot of projects that will have a direct impact on the development in the society, and if I can do something for it to get better, I will.”

Millennium Fellowship Project: Social Inclusion

Our project consists of raising awareness in our society towards people with different disabilities through campaigns on several social media platforms, conferences, activities, and workshops. All these activities will be made in public spaces where the community can participate and experience first hand what it is like to live in the shoes of people with disabilities. Because we are focusing on the Sustainable Development Goal number 10: Reducing inequalities we believe that the previous propositions of activities will result in creating empathy and awareness in the community towards people with these conditions. At the end of the month of events, we will challenge a local business to make their establishment more inclusive like having employees with disabilities, having the menu in braille or having accessible entrances.
