ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2019
United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In the three months the application was open in 2019, over 7,000 young leaders applied to join the Class of 2019 on 1,209 campuses across 135 nations. 69 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 1,092 Millennium Fellows. The Class of 2019 is bold, innovative, and inclusive. Millennium Fellows' Projects are projected to positively impact the lives of over 978,400 people worldwide this year.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Batatas Agro - Enterprise
Batatas Agro - Enterprise is a social enterprise which builds the foundation of human capital through strengthening childhood & maternal nutrition; empowering smallholder farmers and creating green jobs for youths. By November 2020 we aim to have trained and recruited 50 smallholder farmers in Manicaland, Zimbabwe on climate-smart production methods of orange-fleshed sweet potatoes.
About the Millennium Fellow
Precious Nemutenzi is a community youth leader with a passion for agriculture. She studies agricultural sciences at EARTH University. Precious is the Co-founder and Projects Manager of LiHFA, an NGO in Zimbabwe which empowers rural communities through agriculture. Additionally, she is a social entrepreneur and the founder of BAE Foods, a small food processing company which aims to provide communities with Vitamin A enriched food products.
