“I'm incredibly excited to connect with fellow students who are equally as passionate about making our world a better place.”

Millennium Fellowship Project: Becoming a Mother: A Human Right

The Edna Adan Hospital is a non-profit charity and the first maternity hospital in Somaliland. It works to tackle many issues, including reducing the world’s highest rates in maternal and infant mortality, training the next generation of women to become midwives and advocating against the practice of female genital mutilation. This semester, I hope to raise $2,000 in funds for the Edna Adan Hospital Foundation by organizing events in the D.C. area.
