“Millennium Fellowship is a platform for young leaders to showcase their innovative ideas to achieve Sustainable Development Goals provided by the UN. The Millennium Fellowship is the right platform to work alongside budding leaders in making this world a better place. As the young generation of our nation we have the responsibility to make this world a better place to live. "Be the change you want to see in the world" rightly said by Gandhi inspires us to be a better person for us and for everyone.
Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Noor
Project NOOR works for the upliftment of marginalized people through education, economic and social empowerment. Our team reaches out to two adopted slum areas to conduct regular classes with children and adults. We believe in the broader meaning of education beyond literacy. So, we conduct regular workshops on fields revolving around issues like child sex abuse, domestic violence, menstrual hygiene, etc in collaboration with other not for profit organizations.
Another segment of the project works with women who were earlier involved in manual scavenging. We strive to empower these women by marketing products made by them. We ensure their sustainable development by providing them exposure to markets, customers, etc.
This year we aim to impact at least 80 families by our actions. We aspire to increase the reach of our project vertically, by putting more focus on individual needs.
