United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship.  In the three months the application was open in 2019, over 7,000 young leaders applied to join the Class of 2019 on 1,209 campuses across 135 nations.  69 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 1,092 Millennium Fellows.  The Class of 2019 is bold, innovative, and inclusive. Millennium Fellows' Projects are projected to positively impact the lives of over 978,400 people worldwide this year.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Transform a Girls Life initiative

Transform a Girls Life initiative aims to educate young ladies on contraception and menstrual health and hygiene. Also to provide long term sanitary towels. We hope to have impacted at least 70 ladies by the end of the year and to get sponsorships.

About the Millennium Fellow

Cynthia Wanjiku Mwangi is a student at JKUAT Kenya. She likes exploring and learning new things. Cynthia is passionate about conservation of the environment and helping people in the community who are less fortunate! Cynthia is 21 years old and hopes to open a NGO that will change the life of women and ladies in Kenya.
