“Underlying social conflicts and trauma are complex cognitive dynamics that are yet to be completely understood. I am excited to explore these dynamics and how interventions can work to counteract them.”
Millennium Fellowship Project: Young Investors Society
Young Investors Society (YIS) is an after-school High School club that teaches financial literacy through personal finance programs and stock market programs that emphasize long term, fundamental investing principles that emphasize the importance of saving and investing for the future.
YIS is dedicated to preparing the next generation of investors. Our mission is to inspire youth to be outstanding investors-investors in companies, investors in their communities, and investors in themselves.
By December 2019, the projected outcome of our project includes organizing financial literacy workshops in Shanghai and Hangzhou to attract a total number of 500 new students. This serves as a model for establishing the first financial literacy learning community in the region.
Our long-term goal is to expand the influence of Young Investors Society into the Asia Pacific region and to give high school students the opportunity to learn life-changing habits to save and invest in the future.
