ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2019
United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In the three months the application was open in 2019, over 7,000 young leaders applied to join the Class of 2019 on 1,209 campuses across 135 nations. 69 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 1,092 Millennium Fellows. The Class of 2019 is bold, innovative, and inclusive. Millennium Fellows' Projects are projected to positively impact the lives of over 978,400 people worldwide this year.

Millennium Fellowship Project: SDGs Walk across Lagos Mainland
The SDGs Walk is a 2-hour walk scheduled to hold across an obscure community in Lagos Mainland with the aim of localizing the SDGs and creating a conscious mindset in the people of the community about developing the country.
About the Millennium Fellow
Isaac Popoola is currently a student at the University of Lagos majoring in Petroleum and Gas Engineering. He believes with integrity, teamwork, and dedication; he can make a long-lasting impact in his society. He is a goal-getter and self-motivated person whose major interests lie across Energy, Data Science, Business Strategy and Strategy.
He is the Cofounder/Strategy lead for the GoalKeepers Network, an SDGs awareness campaign aimed at reaching out to youths across West Africa about the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, motivating them to actively implement the goals and engaging in SDGs related activities. The network has reached out to over 600 youths both within and outside Nigeria leveraging on social media and offline platforms.
Isaac is currently a NHEF 2019 Scholar and was selected as one of the 23 Africave inaugural Fellow. He volunteers with several organization including LagosFoodbank, Restructure Africa and Youths in Diaspora during his spare as part of his Community development services.
