“I have always had a passion to help others and my community. Having the opportunity to be a millennium fellow offers me a chance to be surrounded by people with the same motivations as me, fills me with much enthusiasm.”

Millennium Fellowship Project: Queer Love

The project consists of the creation of a magazine called, “Queer Love” made by students whose purpose is to expose all issues and problems related to the LGBT+ community and gender. The purpose of this magazine is to be integrated into educational curriculums, the teaching of relevant and important topics that affect our society. The project will cover topics such as; queer history, terminologies, use of inclusive language, safe sex, among others. Essentially it would be an educational tool accessible to anyone on a digital platform. The goal of the journal is to educate as many people as possible about as many relevant topics as possible which allow the acceptance of community members. The process of deconstructing mental paradigms and adopting new ideas is achieved through education and with the project hopes to achieve that. The project deals directly with SDG #4 Quality Education.
