United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship.  In the three months the application was open in 2019, over 7,000 young leaders applied to join the Class of 2019 on 1,209 campuses across 135 nations.  69 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 1,092 Millennium Fellows.  The Class of 2019 is bold, innovative, and inclusive. Millennium Fellows' Projects are projected to positively impact the lives of over 978,400 people worldwide this year.

Millennium Fellowship Project

Life is equal aims at raising the awareness of the public about the severe situation facing by the animals that we all love for as well as educate the next generation about what they can do to save the life on earth.

Measurable goals:

  • Arrange 5 educational events to visit sanctuary for homeless animals, rendering chances for participants to intuitively understand the situation of stray animals.

  • Identify what the charity needs and what they actually do through surveys and interviews to avoid minefield among various institutions.

  • Arousing participants interests for SDGs and tracking it through the pre/post events surveys.

About the Millennium Fellow

Eric Zhang is a first-year student studying at the University of Sydney. As an international student, he is always finding chances to be involved in Australian culture and history, which makes him active in various uni-held events and student activities.
