Cory Richardson

UNITED NATIONS ACADEMIC IMPACT AND MILLENNIUM CAMPUS NETWORK PROUDLY PRESENT CORY RICHARDSON A MILLENNIUM FELLOW FOR THE CLASS OF 2018.

"The Millennium Fellowship offers an incubator-like setting for spurring real change, with fellow students as the motivators. I am thrilled to be working alongside peers with similar ambitions who can inspire me and whom I can watch develop their projects on different passions than my own."

Cory is a senior at Georgetown University studying Linguistics with minors in Business Administration and French. Cory currently serves as a French teacher for Young Diplomats. Her prior research includes work on South African language education policy under and post-apartheid and she hopes to shape bilingual education policy abroad and in a domestic setting post graduation.

Cory's Millennium Fellowship Project is called Young Diplomats of Seaton Elementary. Young Diplomats works with DC Public Schools as an extension of their after school program to provide foreign language education to elementary school students. This program is rapidly expanding and hopes to welcome 100 students in the fall semester to their classrooms. Young Diplomats works to advance the SDG of quality education by giving public school students access to multilingual education and shaping them to further the UNAI principle of Global Citizenship.
