Mayte Guajardo Aspiazu is a senior at Universidad de Monterrey studying International Studies with a concentration in International Commerce. She’s passionate about giving back to her community by volunteering in order to achieve a positive change in the places she visits. She has gone as a missionary to several communities in Mexico, which has allowed her to be more sensitive to her environment. She’s working with her colleagues of the Leadership Honors Program at UDEM and Francisco Erasmo Zamora Pineda (from Fomento Educativo Intercultural A. C.) in the Ikigai project aimed at implementing a business education program supporting local artisans in commercializing their Mexican handicrafts and reducing their economic vulnerability.
