Millennium Fellowship Project

Female Dreamers Initiative is an initiative that aims to empower young girls and women by teaching them poultry skills so they can be self-sufficient and independent.  Many times,  young girls and women are not educated due to traditional beliefs  {women are to be wives} and having these skills that substitute for that usually give them hope. Therefore, as Female Dreamers members, we are unlocking young girls and women's potential so they can fully pursue their dreams.

About the Millennium Fellow

Ntombizodwa (Ntombi) Makuyana is a determined rising senior with a strong academic background and a profound interest in science research. She goes to Arizona State University where she is studying Medicinal Chemistry/ Biochemistry and Mathematics. Ntombi devotes much of her time to making a difference through volunteering in several hospitals and interning at several research institutes, and hopefully one day, she hopes to impact the world positively as a physician and research scientist. Ntombi also shares a passion for women economic empowerment. She believes women are fully capable to become who they want to be in life  and with that  zeal to empower other women and girls in her community to break free from the labels that confine them to the kitchen, she has managed to co-founder Female Dreamers Initiative and get involved in activities such as Women’s History Month at Arizona State University.
