“Our Africa can be the Africa we crave for through Education
We can do it!”
Millennium Fellowship Project
Mentors Network is a student initiative with a mission to inspire and guide students from underprivileged and challenging backgrounds to unleash their full potential. This project is aimed at supporting and encouraging primary and secondary school students to develop more interest in education. They believe that education is what is needed to take Africa to where they want it to be. Within the period of September to November, we hope to get more students to join our network and incorporate more activities in our programs.
About the Millennium Fellow
Susan Dacosta is a 21 year old Gambian student. She is in her 3rd year of Mechanical Engineering at Ashesi University, Ghana. She is passionate about seeing Africa get to a stage where the youth will not fancy leaving their countries to seek for greener pastures in other continents. She believes that this can be achieved through education and the best place to start is with the younger ones because it will be easier to influence people while they are still young. This is why she joined the Mentors Network - to support this dream.
