UNITED NATIONS ACADEMIC IMPACT AND MILLENNIUM CAMPUS NETWORK PROUDLY PRESENT SALLY-ANN EATHER, A MILLENNIUM FELLOW FOR THE CLASS OF 2018.
"I am honored to be involved with the like minded change makers who are ushering in much needed social change. I look forward to growing individually and positively impacting our society."
Through my studies of a double degree of Sustainable Agriculture & Food Security as well as Applied Leadership & Critical Thinking, I intend to strengthen local food systems, connecting the consumer with the producer to minimize food and nutritional insecurity and address other food system issues such as waste streams.
Through P.E.A.C.E. (Promotion, Education, Awareness, Campaigning & Empowerment), Sustainable Development Goal # 12-Sustainable Consumption & Production Patterns and UNAI principle # 9 -Promoting Sustainable Consumption through Education, will be targeted on the 5 Western Sydney University campuses. This will be achieved by challenging our university to reevaluate current policies and values and by disrupting consumption and waste practices.
