ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2018
United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In the three months the application was open in 2018, students applied to join the Class of 2018 on 285 campuses across 57 nations. 30 campuses worldwide (just 11%) were selected to host the 530 Millennium Fellows in the global pilot this year.
The Class of 2018 is bold, innovative, and inclusive. Millennium Fellows' Projects are projected to positively impact the lives of over 310,000 people worldwide this year.

Millennium Fellowship Project
Life Lifters Foundation is a girls incubator that’s seeks to build the next generation of women leaders and role models in Nandi county, Kenya and the world in general. Since its launch, the Foundation has geared its operations in equipping smart underprivileged girls between the ages of 13-19 years with the necessary skills that they need to succeed. During this fellowship program, the foundation will run one “women in leadership” conference that will attract women from different parts of the county and educate them about their rights.
About the Millennium Fellow
Cynthia Muhonja is a feminist and founder of Life Lifters foundation, a mentorship incubator that seeks to build the next generation of women leaders in Nandi county, Kenya. She is currently a fourth year student at Ashesi University pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, a Melton Foundation fellow, a She’s the First fellow, an Akili Dada alumnae and the co-founder of the Agbogblo.Shine Initiative in Ghana.
