ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2018

United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship.  In the three months the application was open in 2018, students applied to join the Class of 2018 on 285 campuses across 57 nations.  30 campuses worldwide (just 11%) were selected to host the 530 Millennium Fellows in the global pilot this year. 

The Class of 2018 is bold, innovative, and inclusive. Millennium Fellows' Projects are projected to positively impact the lives of over 310,000 people worldwide this year.

Millennium Fellowship Project

The Cyber Security Club aims to SDG 5 on gender equality and the UNAI principle of capacity-building in higher education systems. Only 20% of the global Cyber-Security workforce are women. The Cyber Security Club at Effat University will provide students who are passionate about cyber security an environment to gain and share knowledge, empowering women to learn and better understand in the Cyber Security field.

About the Millennium Fellow

Malak is a senior at Effat University majoring in Information Systems and minoring in Information Security. She is interested in cyber-security and learning new things. In the first two years of university, Malak didn't know what to major in or what her goal is but she has goals now and is determined to achieve it. One of these goals is becoming an influential woman. Malak believes that to achieve this goal, she needs to have leadership skills and because of that she is so excited to be part of the Millennium Fellowship to gain leadership skills.
