Millennium Fellowship Project: We are Well
The idea of the project is to address the issue of bridging the gaps between existing mental health organizations and wellness practices. Basically, if a student knows he/she is suffering in physical or mental wellness, there are always a number of groups / organizations that one can join to help their own health. However, there is no easy way to find out the mission, events, or ideas of these groups in a unified way. We are Well looks to address this issue by building out a platform (website or app) that uniteThe need for this platform is there as Georgia Tech is continuously under fire from its students and the media for not addressing mental health concerns. By building out a platform that can unite different student organizations, school resources, and outside communities, Akshay can measure impact in several ways.
First is to gain support from student organizations on campus (Tech Ends Suicide Together, SKY, etc.)
Second is to gain support from campus resources (Georgia Tech Health Initiatives, Well-Being Activators, etc.)s the groups that address one's physical and mental health.
