" I am honored to be part of the Millennial Fellowship class of 2020. I am certain that this will be a great opportunity for me to learn and grow in all aspects of my life. I am excited to learn new skills and acquire values that will not only be of impact to me but also to those around me. I also can't wait to meet the rest of the like-minded leaders who are passionate to make the 4th SDG a reality in the communities around us and our country at large. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Providing literacy education to children
The project aims to provide a library in schools which have no access to reading resources. We plan to host a book drive which is basically a book donation event. Various people choose to either donate new books or second hand books. This will succeed through my networks and by creating awareness mostly by social media platforms. Thereafter, I plan to involve any willing person to participate in unpacking, sorting, labeling and packing books into a 20ft container which is furnished into a library and shipped to various schools. After that, we plan to offer mentorship to assist children to read and apply what they learn and teach them valuable life skills. This project takes into consideration that education is not only schooling but also seeking for the well- being of a person in all aspects of their lives.
