" Last year I had the opportunity to be a Millennium Fellow, and it was great! I enjoyed meeting young leaders, like me, with the same urge and passion to positevly impact our society. I'm excited to be here, again, because this is a very inspiring opportunity and a very proactive environment to keep shaping my social impact. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: EcoRealiza
The project aims to incentivize climate action on a personal level. The project looks to raise awareness on the issues of climate change and water quality. Eco Realiza wishes to empower people as individuals to take climate action and in the process better water quality. The project aims to educate people through diverse and remarkable ways, whether it be through art, event organizing or social media.
During the course of the Fellowship we hope to bring entrepreneurs that sell reusable and eco-friendly products to our campus of the University of Puerto Rico. Through this event we will introduce eco-friendly products to our community in hopes that students become more conscious of the environment while consuming. Another goal that we wish to accomplish is to raise awareness on waste around bodies of water through art installations in hopes to reduce waste that ends up polluting our water sources. Also, we hope to raise awareness on climate action and water quality through the creation of content for a social media page on Instagram.
