" I am extremely excited to be a Millennium Fellow because this fellowship gives a platform to those who want to enact change in this ever-evolving world. I believe that no matter how much the world changes, the natural world should always be revered and protected. As a result, I aim to promote environmental conservation by educating others on biodiversity, sustainability, and how to safely explore the great outdoors. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Exploration Great Outdoors
Exploration Great Outdoors aims to get people back outdoors by educating participants on essential outdoor survival skills, biodiversity, and ways to live more sustainably. The goal of this project is to promote environmental conservation by connecting people with the natural world so they can realize their ecological footprint on the environment. Within August-December 2020 I hope to get 100 people to sign a sustainability pledge. In this pledge, they will attempt to limit their use of plastic by reusing. In addition, by October I plan to talk to The University of South Florida's Office of Sustainability and present my idea on a college campus thrift store.
