" Being part of the Millennium Fellowship will give our project global exposure, and during the Fellowship getting to meet people doing amazing things in every corner of this world will give us ideas that we can implement in our project too. It will also provide motivation to our team to work harder on our project to make this project much better and better to reach global heights. Being part of the Millennium Fellow can open unimaginable gates for us in terms of support and execution. And the skills we will learn will help us through our lives. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Kalam Ko Salam

Kalam Ko Salaam (KKS) aims to dispel the darkness of illiteracy and ignorance by taking education to the underprivileged section of society. We are teaching over 60 children of nearby slums around our college campus. We take them to an NGO named Shubhakshika Educational Society, where our volunteers teach them and 2-time meals are given to them. Also since some part of our university is under construction and the labors involved there is on daily wage, so their children were not getting any education, therefore we also provide basic education and 2-time meals to these 17 kids too on 3 days of the week.
Our Content Creation team supports this project by providing assignments and study materials to the volunteers and kids involved in this project for their revision and better understanding through practice and visual representation of concepts.
We try to emphasize the holistic development and growth of kids through classes for art and craft and formulation of the customized curriculum. And we also organize regular donation drives to give these kids new clothes and stationery items. Right now the total number of volunteers involved with us is 45.
