United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. Over 31,000 young leaders on 2,400+ campuses across 140+ nations applied to join the Class of 2022.  200+ campuses worldwide (just 8%) were selected to host the 3,000+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Project EmpowerHer

Project EmpowerHer is a humanitarian project based on Sustainable Development Goals number 5 which is based solely on Gender Equality. Project EmpowerHer aims to increase the employability skills of young women in universities. This would in turn prepare them for the labour market. This project also aims to put them at par with their male colleagues in the labour market.
Furthermore, project EmpowerHer seeks to educate women about their reproductive health, sexuality and wellbeing in general, to enable them make informed decisions regarding their bodies, sexual health and reproductive system.

About the Millennium Fellow

Gift Eniola Aiyedun, 5th child of Engr. & Mrs Timothy Aiyedun was born on 10th September in Bauchi LGA of Bauchi state but hails from Ogbomosho North LGA of Oyo State. She attended Ronkus International schools and Higher Glory Academy, Abuja for her primary education where she held the position of the Health Prefect and graduated as the best graduating pupil.
She proceeded to community staff school Asokoro, Abuja where she held the post of the house captain and the Fellowship head of her school’s Fellowship. She once again made her parents and school proud by graduating as the best graduating Art student and bagging distinctions in her WAEC Exams.
Since her admission into the University of Ibadan to study Law, Gift Aiyedun has been of service to her Fellow students from her freshman year to her current penultimate year.
In her 2nd year, she served as the floor representative of her floor. She also contested for a seat at the Student Representative council, representing Queen Idia Hall constituency and was elected, wherein she held the post of the secretary of the powerful disciplinary committee.
Gift is a member of the Nigerian Model United Nations society.
Gift also enjoys taking up challenges and loves being of service to others, and more importantly, enjoys advocating for gender equality in her society.
