" Millennium Fellowship is the platform which is not only enhancing my skills but also trained me to deal with social issues so that ensure the social justice and equity in the society. The knowledge and skills which I’ll get from this Fellowship will put social
impact on my project and the college as well. I’m thrilled to increase my skills by
learning and creativity at international level. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Dhyan

Project Dhyan which is a community outreach program that is started in the urge of identifying climatic vulnerable spaces in Delhi. The various awareness programmes have been initiated to aware or impart the strategies to the local communities- how can they deal with the changing climatic conditions. Example- cities like Delhi, are likely to face uneven socio -spatial impact of heat waves conditions that eventually make the groups like low-income families,women,elderly people , more vulnerable. The main target beneficiaries of this project is women because those women who live in disadvantageous socio-economic place with limited rights or voice in the community are most vulnerable to these challenging hazards or disasters. Such women who had experienced the climate related disasters as SURVIVORS,RESCUERS,and RELIEF WORKERS will be documented. Such collections " Her Climate Stories " - act as a platform for vulnerable climatic conditions which are ongoing in India and World... This project has been uphold various SDGs goals as well ..

About the Millennium Fellow

RUKASAR KHILCHI is young, co-operative, determined and very talented girl. She is a
geography student at Indraprastha College for Women, University of Delhi. She is born
and brought in India and residing in India itself. As far as see know herself that she is
very generous towards the backward people who need the helping hands and very passionate to help them through the SDGs goals. She is very determined to eradicate the poverty from the society so that the gap between the rich and poor could be narrow down. This is evident after her experience in the international community and working in the social communities or localities. She is currently working in her college on a project- helping the slum children and successfully completed the work with full dedication and determinism. Furthermore, RUKASAR wants herself to be in a professional field and aspire to cultivate this advocacies further and put her contribution in the development of the UNITED NATION’S SUSTAINABLE GOALS.
