Millennium Fellowship Project: STEP DTU
STEP DTU (Society for Self Transforming & Empowering People) , a student led society in DTU – a beacon of promise and impact, where a vibrant and inclusive community fuels personal growth, self-transformation, and happiness. Our unwavering commitment to fostering empowerment for all drives us to continually uplift individuals, helping them become the best versions of themselves. Together, we forge a path of boundless possibilities, shaping a legacy of positive change that resonates far beyond our society, touching lives and fostering well-being worldwide. STEP DTU recognizes that personal growth extends beyond individual harmony and embraces diversity, serving as a platform for individuals who are committed to personal transformation and empowerment. Our aim is to support individuals in becoming the best version of themselves, fostering empowerment for all. STEP DTU firmly believes in the empowerment of every individual and is dedicated to making positive contributions to humanity. About the Millennium Fellow
Shivam Bilandi, a Biotechnology and Economics major at Delhi Technological University (DTU), is a fervent advocate for personal growth and happiness. At DTU, he co-founded and served as Vice President of "Self Transforming Empowering People" (STEP), a project dedicated to promoting well-being under the Center for Value-based Education and in partnership with the Rekhi Foundation.
Through STEP, Shivam focused on enhancing mental, social, and behavioral well-being. He collaborated with renowned organizations like Heartfulness Centre, UNESCO MGIEP, HappiMynd, and more, fostering well-rounded development. This initiative forged partnerships with esteemed institutions, including IIT KGP, Amity Noida, IGDTUW, and NSUT.
Shivam's leadership fueled STEP's growth, reaching over 500 active members, with 2.5k maximum footfall and a social media reach of 1.2k. He orchestrated a three-day international youth seminar in Hyderabad, uniting 70+ DTU students.
Beyond DTU, Shivam is a Global MCN Millennium Fellow, aligned with the United Nations Academic Impact, where he contributes to community well-being. His work empowering underprivileged children through Shubakshika NGO earned recognition.
Shivam's dedication extends to promoting national unity through his participation in the Republic Day Parade in Delhi, where he coordinated a subgroup.
While Shivam boasts technical proficiency in areas like MS Office, SQL, Python, Tableau, and more, his true passion lies in fostering happiness, mental health, and personal development. His involvement with DTU's Center for Value-based Education underscores the importance of these ideals in achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being.
