Millennium Fellowship Project: Skilling Indigent Students To Alleviate Poverty

The title of the project is "Skilling Indigent Students To Alleviate Poverty.
In my university, there are many indigent students who are struggling to make ends meet. These students often come from low-income families and may not have the resources they need to succeed in school or in life.
That's why I chose this as my millenium felloeship project, originally my millenium fellowship project was supposed to have three parts for three categories of people and this was one of the parts, but when the fellowship started , i realized that i would not be able to complete all three so I chose the the category of people closest to me which were my fellow students in the university.
This project tried to connect indigent students to skills that would be able to fetch them money and cater for their basic needs thereby easing the burden of studying on them and their parents. Data analysis stands out as one of the most reliable avenues for generating income in today's rapidly evolving world and I being an upcoming data analyst took some students through the basis of data analysis using python and microsoft excel. I also got to know that a lot of students had no knowledge of the Coursera financial aid where they can get a lot of knowledge for free if they were not financially capable. So I made a video detailing the apolication process for the finanacial aid and I sent it out to those who were interested in getting the courses on coursera. Some of them applied and got the financial aid and they have started learning. I also provided small amounts of money for data(to access the internet) for those that were taking the courses on coursera to make it easier for them.
Then the last thing I did was this. I myself am a recipient of multiple scholarships from some energy companies by virtue of my excellent academic performance and a lot of my fellow studeent do not have knowledge about these scholarships so I enlightened a few of them and I am mentoring them on how they can get these scholarships like I did and I was able to succesfully mentor one student to get a scholarship from MTN which is the biggest Telecommunication company on the African continent. Othe students have put in applications for more scholarships and we are hopefully waiting for the good news. I believe that this is only the beginning of the project and I would try my best to keep the project going even after the fellowship and also reach out to more students.
