" My passion for engineering and social work drives my commitment to creating sustainable solutions for underprivileged communities. Being a part of the Millennium Fellowship will empower me to collaborate with like-minded individuals and amplify my efforts to provide clean water to those in need. The skills and network I gain will help me make a lasting impact, aligned with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Aqua Guard

AquaGuard is an innovative project designed to tackle the critical issue of water pollution in rural and urban areas. The device detects pollutants in water sources such as wells and ponds by measuring parameters like pH, turbidity, and contaminants. This data is then uploaded to an online platform, making it publicly accessible. By providing real-time information, the project empowers communities to monitor water quality, advocate for change, and promote cleaner and safer water sources.
Currently, the prototype of the AquaGuard device has been developed and is ready for manufacturing. I am in active discussions with local authorities to secure permissions for deployment and scale its impact. The project aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation) and aims to create a lasting difference by addressing water quality issues affecting public health and the environment.
By enabling transparency and actionable insights, AquaGuard supports communities, policymakers, and environmental advocates in their efforts to protect water resources. My vision is to make clean water a basic right for everyone, fostering healthier and more sustainable communities. This project is a step toward ensuring a safer future for water access worldwide.
