" As a Millennium Fellow, I'm excited to amplify my impact by collaborating with driven peers who share my commitment to creating meaningful change. I do this work because I believe in the power of collective action to shape a more just and sustainable world. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: GyanSamarth
GyanSamarth is a comprehensive initiative under the Rotaract Club of DTU Regency aimed at empowering underprivileged children through primary education, digital literacy, and skill-building activities. The project adopts a tailored teaching approach to meet the specific needs of each student, ensuring personalized attention through customized classes and dedicated doubt-clearing sessions.
Beyond academics, GyanSamarth promotes holistic development through events such as URJA, which fosters teamwork, sportsmanship, and leadership skills, and Uphaar - The Diwali Mela, a signature fundraising event that supports educational resources. Initiatives like Raahat, a winter clothing drive, address the broader well-being of the children by providing essential resources during colder months.
Through these efforts, GyanSamarth strives to bridge educational gaps, empower children with critical life skills, and create a more inclusive society where economic limitations do not hinder a child’s potential. The project has positively impacted 300+ students so far, demonstrating the transformative power of education in breaking the cycle of poverty.
