About the Millennium Fellow
Ofima Osaro-Wokoma is a final year medical student of Afe Babalola University. She was born and raised in Rivers State, Nigeria and is also from a small community in Rivers State. Growing up, Ofima has been privileged to be part of different support groups and organizations being handled by her mum which involved educating the public about different health conditions and how they can seek help. This experience fueled her passion for mother and child health which is what her project is about . She is really grateful for this opportunity given to her by the Millennium Fellowship and is looking forward to working people who share the same passion.
