" I'm excited to be a Millennium Fellow because it gives me the platform to turn a local solution into a global impact. I do this work because I believe technology should build trust, not barriers — and everyone deserves a safe space to trade, grow, and thrive. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Safe Trade Hub

Safe Trade Hub is a secure OLX-like marketplace platform where: •Users sign up using their ID card and live photo to reduce scams. •The system stores user data securely so authorities can trace scammers if needed. •It’s available as a web and mobile app. •It includes a payment system for secure transactions. •There’s an AI chatbot for resolving disputes. •You also plan to include a trustee module, like Fiverr: •The trustee receives both payment and product, sends the product to the buyer. •After the buyer is satisfied, the trustee releases payment to the seller.

About the Millennium Fellow

My name is Muhammad Saim Ayyaz, and I'm currently in my 7th semester of the BS Information Technology program at Air University. I'm passionate about using technology to solve real-world problems, particularly in areas that promote trust, safety, and economic inclusion.
I'm currently leading a project called Safe Trade Hub — a C2C marketplace that enables individuals to buy and sell goods securely using an escrow-based payment system. The platform is designed to reduce the risk of fraud in peer-to-peer transactions and create a safer digital trading environment, especially for users in underserved communities.
Through this initiative, I aim to bridge the trust gap in online commerce and empower more people to participate confidently in the digital economy. I see the Millennium Fellowship as an incredible opportunity to refine this project, collaborate with a global community of change makers, and grow both personally and professionally in my journey to create tech-driven social impact.
