Millennium Fellowship Project: CyberSafe Communities: Digital Security Awareness for All
CyberSafe Communities is a digital security awareness initiative designed to empower students, youth, and local communities with essential cybersecurity knowledge. As online threats, scams, and misinformation grow rapidly, many individuals—especially in underserved areas—lack the skills and awareness needed to stay safe.
The project provides free workshops, awareness seminars, digital toolkits, and community outreach sessions that focus on online privacy, identity theft prevention, scam detection, and safe internet use. By building digital literacy and resilience, the project aims to create a safer, more informed, and cyber-aware society.
About the Millennium Fellow
Muhammad Sohaib Rafiq is a dedicated cybersecurity student at Air University, Islamabad, hailing from one of Pakistan’s most underserved tribal regions. Growing up with limited access to digital resources, he overcame significant challenges through resilience and determination. Passionate about safeguarding individuals and organizations from malicious cyber threats, he aspires to raise cybersecurity awareness and bridge the digital divide in his community. Through the Millennium Fellowship, he seeks to combine technical expertise with leadership skills to contribute to global digital security and inspire others to pursue success despite adversity.
