" Creativity and adaptability fueled by systems thinking drive both my art and my work. Becoming a Millennium Fellow would provide the ideal platform to refine these strengths and apply them more effectively. The skills, mentorship, and global collaboration offered through the Fellowship will deepen my ability to design impactful solutions that address real community challenges. With a focus on schools and local communities, my goal is to make social impact more tangible and sustainable. By aligning with the UNAI principles and SDGs, this opportunity will equip me to contribute meaningfully to global best practices for a more just and inclusive world. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Pamoja Twaweza: Empowering Communities to Thrive
The Pamoja Twaweza: Empowering Communities to Thrive project strengthens urban livelihoods by promoting sustainable, low-cost farming solutions that directly support SDG 1: No Poverty. Through the Urban Sustainable Farming Initiative, the project trains women, youth, and low-income households in vertical gardening, seedling production, and agribusiness skills using recycled materials and limited space. Participants gain practical knowledge to grow their own food, create income streams, and reduce household expenses. The project also enhances environmental conservation through recycling workshops and community clean-ups. By combining skills development, food security, and economic empowerment, the initiative helps build resilient, self-reliant urban communities.
