Millennium Fellowship Project: SAFE WATER-SAVE PEOPLE

SAFE-WATER- SAVE PEOPLE is a community centred project which addresses directly the sustainable development goals (SDG) 3 (Good health and well being) and 6 (Clean water and Sanitation).
This project is aimed at promoting the use of clean and safe water, hygiene and sanitation in order to advance good health and sustainable water practices through education, advocacy and community action. Simply put, this is a project that emphasises the importance of the availability of clean and easily accessible water for household use (drinking, cooking, etc.), enlightening the community on the dangers of using unclean water, infectious agents it may contain and the negative impact on health. This project also explains the importance of cleanliness and basic sanitation practices and provide insights on affordable methods of water storage and purification. It intends to make individuals and the society at large to be intentional about the water we consume. This project advocates for the provision of clean and accessible water to all individuals as a basic human right.
