" I am so excited to be a part of the Millennium Campus Network this year due to the fact I have always aspired to be a legal professional because I believe that the intersection of my legal career and my passion for sustainable development will enable me to make meaningful contributions to the communities I serve. My ultimate goal this time however, is to support and amplify initiatives that advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by providing them with the resources they need to achieve their objectives. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: PartnerBridge
Honestly, a few of my friends were Millennium Fellows in the Class of 2024 and I learnt a lot from their experiences because of my active participation in their various projects as I might have earlier stated in my round 1 application. From their experiences, I was able to understand that most initiatives (whether under the Millennium Campus Network or not) experienced financial difficulties to fund their projects and it is still a major problem till present day. A lot of persons have ideas, brilliant ideas to promote the sustainable development goals but have no means of execution due to financial constraints. Hence, I thought “Why not be that means? Why not bridge the gap between the SDG goals and their implementations?” And so the idea of PARTNERBRIDGE was birthed and here I am, eager and excited to channel change in the right direction. I sincerely hope that this project not only encourages initiatives but also calls the attention of the government and stakeholders to the importance of supporting and prioritizing Non governmental organizations and initiatives that seek to improve the lives of the less privileged in the society at large.
