" Being a Millennium Fellow excites me because this is something new and fresh. Not for me alone but for my campus as a whole. This is an opportunity to grow, learn, collaborate with like minded individuals, develop my skills and be a part of something that means something. What motivates me is the opportunity to create awareness and provide understanding around mental health and wellness, creating safe spaces for open discussions. My work allows me to combine learning, education and community engagement and using the platform I have to create real difference "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Mental Health Awareness among Students
This project focused on raising mental health awareness among secondary and university students. It helped students understand mental health, reduce stigma, promote empathy, and encourage help-seeking behavior. Students learned practical ways to support themselves and others, fostering a culture of emotional well-being in schools. The project successfully created an open environment for reflection and laid the foundation for future outreach, with plans to expand to more schools and implement structured follow-up systems.
