" The reason as to why i'm excited to be a part of the Millennium Fellowship is because it is a journey that i'll take that will enhance my knowledge and help me in different areas such as introducing me with seniors who will help me in all sort of educational ways and help me in achieving my goals and give me more courage and confidence in what i'm involved in. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Legal Aid and Awareness

This project involves visiting various marginalized communities in Nakuru and Baringo counties to raise legal awareness and invite community members to attend Legal Clinics. Through these legal aid awareness campaigns, we were able to support less privileged individuals by providing access to legal advice that they would otherwise not have received, as legal counsel in Kenya is often expensive and out of reach for most of the population.

About the Millennium Fellow

Abigael Chepkemoi is a hardworking, determined and self-driven girl. She is currently studying in Kabarak University Law School. At the beginning before she even started her university studies, she had not considered that she would be a upcoming lawyer in the near future but as she continued interacting with different stages and happenings that needed knowledge in the law she started developing interest in this field driving her to pursue it. She was also interested in making the people in the community to know the general knowledge in law and this motivated her to join the legal aid club.
