Millennium Fellowship Project: Women Empowerment through Entrepreneurship
Women Empowerment through Entrepreneurship is an independent project led by Millennium Fellow Areeba Gul. The project addresses gender inequality by providing women with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to succeed in entrepreneurship. The initiative aims to engage women in Islamabad and surrounding communities through workshops, mentorship sessions, and skill-building programs, fostering economic independence and leadership. During the Millennium Fellowship period, the project will host a minimum of three events, including entrepreneurship workshops, networking sessions, and mentorship discussions, aiming to reach and impact at least 150 women by equipping them with practical tools to launch and grow their own businesses.
About the Millennium Fellow
Areeba Gul is a dedicated advocate for women’s empowerment through entrepreneurship. Born in Gujarkhan and currently residing in Kamra, Pakistan, she has long been committed to creating platforms that enable women to achieve economic independence and leadership in business. Through her project on empowering women entrepreneurs, Areeba has successfully organized workshops, mentorship programs, and skill-development initiatives that help women gain confidence, financial literacy, and practical business knowledge. Her passion for gender equality and sustainable development drives her to inspire and support women at every step, with the goal of fostering a stronger, more inclusive entrepreneurial community.
