" I am passionate on environmental advocacy plans and would love to bring a positive change to my environment thus strengthening Sustainable Development goals "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Climate Genera Initiative

Climate Genera is a community-led effort focused on environmental conservation, sustainable food systems and youth empowerment in Awendo. The project began as a small idea during the COVID-19 school closures when I created a fish pond on unused land near the Kuja River. With time, the initiative grew into a reliable source of food and income for my community, while also creating a space for young people to learn practical environmental skills.
Our goals include improving local nutrition, promoting responsible use of land, strengthening youth involvement in agriculture, and restoring ecosystems that support long-term environmental solutions. We combine, tree planting, conservation education, and community outreach to create a model for sustainable livelihoods.
