United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

This opportunity will allow me to learn from diverse perspectives, collaborate with like-minded change makers, and refine my ability to lead projects that create sustainable, positive impact. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Menstrual Equity

The title of my project is Menstrual Equity. This project will involve my team members and I going to different schools to educate the girl child on personal hygiene and also on the use of menstrual pads during menstruation. The project will be self-funded but likewise, we will solicit for funding from individuals and organizations who are ready to donate to promote the aim of our project.

About the Millennium Fellow

Iselewa Katherine is a bright, intellectual and multifaceted girl who is studying medicine and surgery at the university of ilorin, Nigeria. She has a passion for both science and creativity. As a third-year medical student, she has demonstrated a deep commitment to knowledge acquisition. Her academic pursuits are complemented by her interests in medical content creation, community outreach, and public health education, reflecting a strong sense of social responsibility and a desire to positively impact others.
She has taken up some volunteering roles such as going to secondary school in her vicinity to enlighten young students about that oral health, female gender mutilation etc and that illustrates her dedication to service and her ability to translate complex medical concepts into practical, accessible knowledge. Katherine is purposeful, empathetic, and forward-thinking, with a clear vision for the life she wants to build.
