" My love for healthcare and public enlightenment drives my mission to make first aid training accessible to everyone. Becoming a Millennium Fellow will connect me with people who share this vision and provide the resources and training I need to reach more students with life-saving first aid knowledge. I do this work because I have seen how one skill can change the outcome of an emergency, and I want to help build communities where everyone knows how to protect and save lives. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: The Aid Project
This project is about educating people about the importance of first aid and the little things they should know how to do in emergencies or case of minor accidents. Knowing how to clean up an open wound or manage a burn situation can minimize the risk of infection and help save a life. I want to start this education with teenagers in high school so they can learn simple first aid skills and knowledge which I believe will help build their interest in health and safety as they grow.
About the Millennium Fellow
Praise Aderinola is a young, lively, and passionate pharmacy student who loves healthcare. She was born in Osogbo, Nigeria, and studies at the University of Ilorin. Her interest in healthcare began in secondary school, leading her to pursue a degree in pharmacy. In her third year, she developed a keen interest in first aid and has since trained to provide it, always ready to help in emergencies. She enjoys teaching, volunteering, and helping people feel confident about their health. When she is not in class or tutoring, she's probably reading, watching anime, or crocheting something colorful. Praise's goal is to make healthcare knowledge accessible, engaging, and impactful for everyone she meets.
