UNITED NATIONS ACADEMIC IMPACT AND MCN PROUDLY PRESENT VERA ALLUE, A MILLENNIUM FELLOW AND CAMPUS DIRECTOR FOR THE CLASS OF 2025.
University of Toronto | Toronto, Canada | Advancing SDG 13, SDG 11 & UNAI 9

" Growing up in Latin America, I learned to appreciate from a young age the value of community, compassion and social responsibility. Guided by my memories of Peruvian cuisine and my experience trying world flavors, I want to unite students on campus through my love for sharing meals. I am excited for the network of enthusiastic leaders and mentors in the Millennium Fellowship that will inspire me with stories of resilience, joy and love for what they are doing. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: University of Toronto COP Research Group
We are a collective of student researchers committed to addressing global and regional environmental challenges through rigorous analysis, creative policy design, and accountability monitoring. By producing research briefs, legislative proposals, and calls-for-action, we aim to bridge the gap between academic insight and political decision-making. Our mission is to ensure that governments, institutions, and industries are held accountable to their environmental commitments, while amplifying youth voices as credible agents of change in shaping a resilient, net-zero future. Similar to the G7 and G20 Research Groups at the University of Toronto, the COP Research Group is becoming an entirely student-led, cross-faculty, organization where like-minded students will come together to research, evaluate, and shape Canada's approach to its COP Commitments.
