The Class of 2018 is bold, innovative, and inclusive. Millennium Fellows' Projects are projected to positively impact the lives of over 310,000 people worldwide this year.
“Where else can I find such an amazing community of like-minded individuals who are passionate about so many different projects?”
Millennium Fellowship Project
Hari’s project is the Road to Fiscal Independence. Attending college in the burgeoning but underdeveloped community of West Philadelphia, Hari hopes to work with students at local high schools to understand how to conduct basic finances. Simple education about balancing a checkbook and creating a budget will go a long way in enabling teenagers to rely on themselves moving forward. Having already established a partnership in one school, he hopes to grow this program to around 10 students in that high school and create a sustainable weekly lesson plan that can be carried on for future lessons. He is working on Sustainable Development Goal #10: Reduced Inequalities and UNAI Principle #3: Education for All.
