ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2018

United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship.  In the three months the application was open in 2018, students applied to join the Class of 2018 on 285 campuses across 57 nations.  30 campuses worldwide (just 11%) were selected to host the 530 Millennium Fellows in the global pilot this year. 

The Class of 2018 is bold, innovative, and inclusive. Millennium Fellows' Projects are projected to positively impact the lives of over 310,000 people worldwide this year.

Millennium Fellowship Project

The Bargaining for Better Schools Project aims to provide accessible information and creates dialogue pertaining to public education employment practices in New York State, benefitting both labor management relations and the general public. Between the months of August to November, they aim to release their health insurance report which has the potential to reach thousands of readers. This project focuses on SDG #4 and UNAI Principle #3.

About the Millennium Fellow

Isabella Japal is a rising junior at Cornell University studying Industrial and Labor Relations. She is interested in education policy and aspires to create her own nonprofit centered around this issue. When she is not doing research for the Bargaining for Better Schools Project, she works as a writing tutor and is a member of Cornell's Conflict-Resolution club.
