ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2018
United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In the three months the application was open in 2018, students applied to join the Class of 2018 on 285 campuses across 57 nations. 30 campuses worldwide (just 11%) were selected to host the 530 Millennium Fellows in the global pilot this year.
The Class of 2018 is bold, innovative, and inclusive. Millennium Fellows' Projects are projected to positively impact the lives of over 310,000 people worldwide this year.
" I am super excited to be a Millennium Fellow because I want to meet all the wonderful, passionate, and talented peers out there and learn about their stories, drives, and ideas. I can't wait to be inspired by these fellow Fellows and am itching to work with them to create something of last impact on the world together. I do the work I do involving Food Insecurity, because with a love of food and an understanding of how hard life can get, I believe this most basic assurance, resource, and pleasure should never be denied to anyone. I am still shocked why it remains an issue today, and I want to do all I do to get rid of it, starting with the community around Waltham and Brandeis University."
Millennium Fellowship Project
Relieving Food Insecurity around the Community commits to relieving and combating food insecurity in the community around Waltham, MA, USA. The project attempts to different ways to tackle the community issue of food insecurity, including planning new initiatives, direct service, and creating new connections with different populations to both educate and understand the issues of poverty.
Measurable Goals: To help plan an up and running Food Pantry on and with the campus that benefits at least 15 unknown students of Brandeis. To collect more than 300+ guest meals in the university to later donate into meals for the homeless and other food insecure populations.
