ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2018
United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In the three months the application was open in 2018, students applied to join the Class of 2018 on 285 campuses across 57 nations. 30 campuses worldwide (just 11%) were selected to host the 530 Millennium Fellows in the global pilot this year.
The Class of 2018 is bold, innovative, and inclusive. Millennium Fellows' Projects are projected to positively impact the lives of over 310,000 people worldwide this year.
“I am excited to be a Millennium Fellow because I think it is a great opportunity to get involved and help make positive changes. I hope to make an impact not only on my college campus but also within the surrounding community.”
Millennium Fellowship Project
The Food Pantry to alleviate food insecurity project serves the purpose of reducing hunger. The team aim to help college students battle the struggle of obtaining fresh nutritious food right on campus. A food pantry that will be stocked with grab and go foods at no additional cost will be created. They are working on putting up a food pantry on our campus so that fellow students at Becker College are allowed and provided food if they are unable to buy food to obtain a healthy life style to succeed in their studies. This project advances SDG 2 and UNAI 1
