ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2018
United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In the three months the application was open in 2018, students applied to join the Class of 2018 on 285 campuses across 57 nations. 30 campuses worldwide (just 11%) were selected to host the 530 Millennium Fellows in the global pilot this year.
The Class of 2018 is bold, innovative, and inclusive. Millennium Fellows' Projects are projected to positively impact the lives of over 310,000 people worldwide this year.

Millennium Fellowship Project
Highland 365 is a non-profit organization creating a year round agricultural business opportunity. The project is student and co-faculty lead, and is an ever-growing operation. The team hopes to produce a pamphlet by November on how to construct similar operations all over the nation and hopefully the world in regards to our agricultural aquaponics unit.
About the Millennium Fellow
Maliena Boone is a senior undergraduate student at Alma college, majoring in sociology and double minoring in environmental studies and public health. She is the co-founder of the project and incorporator of the Highland 365 non-profit. For Maliena, watching this project progress over the last year has been an incredible experience. “It’s like watching your metaphysical child grow up in front of your eyes. I only hope to continue to watch my team and project prosper.”
