“Intercultural awareness and collaboration fuel my work in and out of the classroom. Throughout my college education, I’ve been fortunate enough to learn from and work with individuals who believe in the importance of a global perspective. I’ve dedicated my time to projects that encourage students to think beyond their own cultural and educational experiences and embrace the diversity within their classroom, workplace, and community. I am incredibly honored to be a Millennium Fellow because I get to join, and learn from, a multinational network of accomplished social impact leaders.”

Millennium Fellowship Project

The Campus Global Theme Initiative is part of a campus-wide commitment to provide every UC Davis student with a global education. Through the project, the team will launch a biennial program to engage the UC Davis community (students, faculty, staff and community partners) in creating a year of transdisciplinary projects, events, and performances that address a theme related to an SDG. From August to November 2018, the team wishes to initiate the effort by publicizing our initiative, inviting event/activity proposals for the 2019-2020 academic year, and creating a mini-grants program to support proposed programming. They will measure their impact by the number of project proposals they receive from student organizations and other units across campus. The Campus Global Theme Initiative plans to receive at least 60 proposals, representing every school and college, that reflect the campus’ diversity.
