Mirna (Mia) Loiferman

Mirna (Mia) Loiferman is a dynamic, young professional with a passion for multi-cultural experiences, humanitarian relief and international development. Mirna is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish, French and English and has worked in several global locations including North America, Latin America, Europe and the Middle East. She has joined the United Nations three years ago, working in the Monitoring and Evaluation team with the objective of analyzing humanitarian projects funded by the Central Emergency Response Fund in the Office for Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).

During the summer, she was sent to Mozambique to coordinate the emergency relief efforts after Cyclone Idai and Cyclone Kenneth, assisting the government’s efforts of creating more than 8 resettlement areas for people affected by the floods. Originally from Brazil, she received her Bachelor’s degree from Northeastern University in International Development and International Economics and then went on to complete an Impact Investing Programme at Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford.
