ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2018
United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In the three months the application was open in 2018, students applied to join the Class of 2018 on 285 campuses across 57 nations. 30 campuses worldwide (just 11%) were selected to host the 530 Millennium Fellows in the global pilot this year.
The Class of 2018 is bold, innovative, and inclusive. Millennium Fellows' Projects are projected to positively impact the lives of over 310,000 people worldwide this year.

Millennium Fellowship Project
GlobeMed is a non-profit organization that forms sustainable partnerships with grassroots organizations in order to address global health issues. GlobeMed at Georgetown is partnered with Primeros Pasos, a clinic in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala that seeks to empower rural, indigenous populations by providing them with health services and health education. This fall, they project’s team hopes to raise at least $2000 for Primeros Pasos, which would go directly towards health outreach programs in its neighboring communities. They also hope to bring awareness of their mission and of global health issues to at least 50 other students on campus.
Reena Goswami is from Baltimore, MD and she is a rising senior at Georgetown studying Biology of Global Health as well as Spanish. She hopes to center her future career around helping to address health disparities among marginalized populations. In her spare time, she enjoys exploring DC and singing on campus in an A cappella group.
