The Class of 2018 is bold, innovative, and inclusive. Millennium Fellows' Projects are projected to positively impact the lives of over 310,000 people worldwide this year.
“I am so excited to be a Millennium Fellow as I think Sustainable Solutions is a perfect way of using the Millennium Fellowship to impact my community as I can impart the knowledge I gain from being a Fellow to competitors in the Sustainable Solutions competition. The competition will encourage a community-led effort to localize SDGs as my team members and I learn through the Fellowship.”
Millennium Fellowship Project
The Sustainable Solutions project is a competition that encourages Penn students as well as students from high schools around Philadelphia to take on the UN Sustainable Development Goals by localizing them. From August to November, they hope to spread word of the competition around Penn and their community, host information and training session for competitors, and help provide resources to competitors in preparation for the competition in Spring 2019. Sustainable Solutions is advancing the SDG to make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable. It is also advancing the UNAI goal of sustainability - A commitment to promoting sustainability through education.
